Workshop & Weekend Programme on Pediatric Therapy for therapists
We are pleased
to inform you that we are conducting a Workshop &weekend programme on
Pediatric Therapy for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech
Therapists. The curriculum includes the Principles of Neuro Developmental
Therapy, Sensory Integration and Aquatics
The faculties
are well trained and experienced in pediatric therapy and hold an
internationally valid certificate. For the benefit of working professionals in
this field, we propose to conduct the classes on weekends to enable them to
learn without disrupting their work-life balance so that they can learn and
earn simultaneously. This programme is designed in a way to enrich the
knowledge of the professional’s like physiotherapist, occupational therapist
and speech language pathologist/ speech therapist to handle the children with
motor developmental disabilities, sensory disorders and daily skills.

About the Resource Persons
Mr. Parthiban Selvaraji is
a Pediatric Physiotherapist with more than 11 years of experience practicing in
a reputed organization at Rawttakuppam Hemerijckx Rural centre in
Villupuram District. He is also the proprietor of Shrishti PHAARC in
Puducherry. After Graduating from Physiotherapy, he has completed the Diploma
in Basic Developmental Therapy course offered at The Spastics Society of
Tamilnadu, Chennai. He has furthered his knowledge with a Certification in
Neuro Developmental Therapy offered by the Neuro Developmental Therapy
Association (NDTA), USA. He has also
undergone Advanced Training in NDT (Trunk), recognized by NDTA, USA. He is
currently the Course Coordinator for Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation
(DCBR), a course recognized by The Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi
and Programme-In-Charge (PIC) for Certificate in Early Childhood Special
Education Enabling Inclusion offered by IGNOU, New Delhi. He has conducted many
workshops on Neuro Developmental Therapy for various target populations in
Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karnataka.
Mrs. Yashoda Parthiban is
a Pediatric Physiotherapist with more than 11 years of experience practicing in
the field of Pediatrics. She is also
the proprietor of Shrishti PHAARC in Puducherry. She completed her
Graduation from Sancheti College of Physiotherapy, Pune. After
completion of graduation she worked in a reputed pediatric clinic in Mumbai
under Dr. Asha Chitnis PT. She enriched her knowledge with a Certification in
Neuro Developmental Therapy offered by the Neuro Developmental Therapy
Association (NDTA), USA. She has the experience of conducting workshops on
Neuro Developmental Therapy for various target populations in Tamilnadu and
Karnataka.
Mr. C. SIva Kumar is a
Pediatric Occupational Therapist with more than 9 years of experience
practicing in a reputed organization at Rawttakuppam Hemerijckx Rural Centre,
in Villupuram District, Tamilnadu. He is also Proprietor and Consultant of
Ayres Unit of Occupational Therapy in Puducherry. After Graduating from
Occupational therapy, he enhanced his knowledge with a Certification in Sensory
Integration from the University of Southern California, USA. He has conducted
workshops on Sensory Integration for various target populations in Tamilnadu
and Puducherry
Mr. Karthik Ranganatha Rao is a Pediatric Physiotherapist with more than 10 years of experience
practicing in a reputed organization in Chennai. He is also the Proprietor of Shrishti
Physiotherapy & Child Development Centre located in K.K. Nagar and
Thoraipakkam. After Graduating from Physiotherapy, he has completed the Diploma
in BaSIc Developmental Therapy course offered at The Spastics Society of Tamilnadu,
Chennai. In 2006, he enhanced his knowledge with a Certification in Sensory
Integration from the University of Southern California, USA and a Certificate
in Aquatic Therapy course recognized by The American Physical Therapist
Association, USA. He has edited a manual on ‘BaSIc Developmental Therapy’ for
Physiotherapists. He has also been a course writer for Early Childhood Special
Education Enabling Inclusion (Cerebral Palsy) offered by the prestigious Indira
Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. He is a Master Trainer in
Pediatric Physiotherapy and has successfully conducted more than 40 training
programmes and workshops for different target populations in various parts of
the country.
